"I am delighted to invite you to HEAnet's first National Conference on
Networking.
This will be the occasion
on which we launch Ireland's Next Generation Internet Connectivity - connecting
Ireland at vastly enhanced broadband speeds to the US and Europe and to the
worldwide Internet.
The Higher Education Authority's chair and the Minister
for Public Enterprise will address the conference.
The audience will primarily consist of heads of
information services and senior networking personnel, and others with an
interest in HEAnet's broadband networking services.
The theme will be present and future HEAnet developments
and will include detailed presentations and discussions on current and planned
infrastructure and services. Senior personnel from Internet2 in the US and
pan-European Research Networking will be in attendance. "
