The National Information Server
The National Information Server (NIS) is HEAnet's Web-based information service
catering for the specific needs of Ireland's third level education and research
community.
This service is provided free of charge.
NIS provides:
-Information on HEAnet's services, projects...
-A directory of links to all major areas of knowledge. These links are provided
by the education and research communities and a special emphasis on Irish
resources is made.
-Hosting for databases and websites (when they are of interest to HEAnet's
community)
-A vacancies section in which to publicise job opportunities in teaching,
IT, library, research and information sectors. -Information on seminars,
conferences, courses...on the event calendar. |
