Stephen will introduce the Web of Science and it's three main databases,
the WOS uses and applications.
Some facts about the WOS and other available databases for WOS. Current Links
from the WOS full-text to various on-line publishers and to local Web OPAC
holdings and how these are configured. Introduce IRIS and the inter-library
loans service and the Z39.50 protocol, the libraries it searches including
the Library of Congress and the British Library.
He will also talk about other services hosted at HEAnet PADDI, Volsec and
the some information on the technologies behind these ie 'whats under the
bonnet' and finally the criteria for hosting collaborative services at HEAnet. |
