Lab 4 IP Multicast Tunnel Workshop

  1. Create a new GRE Tunnel interface on the Cisco 7204
    7204(config)# int tunnel 5
    7204(config-if)# tunnel source p4/0
    7204(config-if)# tunnel destination 193.1.70.21
    7204(config-if)# Tunnel mode gre ip
    7204(config-if)# ip address 193.1.70.34 255.255.255.252

  2. Enable PIM Sparse Mode on the Tunnel Interface.
    7204(config)# int tunnel 5
    7204(config-if)# ip pim sparse-mode

  3. Test multicast connectivity with SDR or IPTV
