Parking

  • Sheraton Athlone Hotel shares parking facilities with Athlone Town Shopping Centre.
  • The hotel can be accessed directly from the car park by following blue Sheraton signs fixed to ceiling above driving lanes. However delegates can park in any part of the car park, not just the hotel designated area.
  • The Sheraton Entrance is visible from the Escalator Lobby at Car Park Level A.

For those of you unfamiliar with Dublin and wishing to take the train you will need to:

  1. Get from Dublin Airport to Heuston Train Station by bus (50 mins)
  2. Catch an Athlone bound Train from Heuston Train Station (1h 40 mins)
  3. Get from Athlone Train Station to the Sheraton Athlone Hotel (5 mins walk)

  1. Dublin Airport to Heuston Train Station

    The Dublin Bus Airlink service operates high frequency buses from Dublin Airport to Dublin City Centre with some services extended to Heuston Railway Station (route 748 only)

    Operating from just outside the Arrivals Hall at Dublin Airport, these green double decker buses, operate from early morning till late evening 7 days a week, running every 30 minutes

    Bus Route 748 operates... between Dublin Airport, Connolly Railway Station ( Irish Rail ), Bus Aras ( Bus Eireann services ), City Centre ( Aston Quay ), North quays ( Wood Quay ) & Heuston Station.

    Trip time: 50 minutes approx

  2. Heuston Train Station to Athlone Train Station

    Trains run approx. every 2 hours, journey time is approx. 1h40mins.

  3. Athlone Train Station to Sheraton Athlone Hotel

    There is a taxi rank outside the train station. Journey is about 3 minutes and the average cost is €4.50.
