DCU, DIAS and the Russian Alliance supported by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Ireland have organised a public lecture: 'Exploring the Final Frontier: Fifty Years On' with Cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the first manned spaceflight by Yuri Gagarin, Mikhail Kornienko will talk about his experiences of 6 months of living and working aboard the International Space Station.

Both events were fully booked and were streamed live on-line at 11:00 and 19:30 on Thursday 14th of April 2011 from the HEAnet website.
