Green Strategy

HEAnet is a member of the Telecommunications & Internet Federation (TIF), where we engage with other companies in the ICT industry in sharing information and policy formation. One of TIF's subgroups is Green IT, and HEAnet is an active member of this group.

TIF is part of the Irish Business Employers Confederation (IBEC)and represents the ICT sector at national level. In recent years it has engaged with the government in a public-private partnership which jointly funded and implemented the schools broadband network, operated by HEAnet.
