HEAnet is holding a seminar: "WiMax on a near campus network" - which aims to give an introduction to WiMax for campus IT staff and to encourage discussion of the technology.

The delivery of mobile wireless access is seen as a key and critical component for HEAnet to fulfil its mission in delivering and supporting a world-class service to the Higher Education community.

Several WiMax suppliers will be in attendance to give an overview of the technology, together with HEAnet member institutions who have already deployed WiMax and will relay their deployment experiences.
