HEAnet announces programme for National Networking Conference 2009

This year we put the spotlight on Wireless Technology, Federated Access, Green IT, IPV6, Cloud and Data Protection.
We will also present a number of case studies including Virtualisation at CIT and DIT, WiMax at DCU and NUIM and ICT modernisation at New College Durham.
As well as speakers from the community including CIT, DCU, DIT and UCD, you'll hear from leading industry stakeholders, policy-makers and others such as: Martin Curley, Global Director of IT Innovation and Research at Intel, Bradley Tipp, Education Solutions Specialist, Microsoft, Friederike Otto, Potsdam University, Billy Hawkes, Data Protection Commissioner, Leo Enright, Broadcaster, Paul Murray, CEO Cartoon Saloon and many more. Click here for more details on the conference programme.
The HEAnet National Networking Conference, now in its ninth year takes place 12 - 13 November at the Lyrath Hotel, Kilkenny. Due to the popularity of the hands-on workshops at last year's conference we will be holding extra workshops providing practical experience in the areas of Federated Access and Security on Wednesday afternoon. As workshops are limited to 20 people we recommend you register today to avoid disappointment.
The Exhibition area will be bigger and better this year with over ten companies showcasing their latest products and services and a poster display area presenting research findings in an exciting and visually stimulating format.
We invite you to join us and your peers from the education and research community for a few days of information filled sessions, networking and fun! We look forward to welcoming you in the Lyrath this November! Click here to register your place at our conference
