The deal will be available from 3rd September 2012 to students and staff at HEAnet member institutions.

From as little as €9.99 per month students can avail of half price internet and a free modem on a 12 month contract – helping them to study, socialise and surf online. There is also a range of other internet options available for smartphones, laptops and tablets. For example if a student wants a shorter term contract they can avail of a nine month or 30 day rolling contract, or they can purchase internet add-ons for their smartphone for €9.99 per month.

Signing up to an O2/HEAnet student internet offer gives students access to exclusive O2 educational and lifestyle treats, including a €20 discount for any smartphone bought online, plus access to the exclusive O2 Priority Moments, like discounted cinema tickets.

HEAnet provides high quality internet and associated ICT services to higher education institutions and research organisations. This means the offer will be available to all students and staff in the country’s Universities, Institutes of Technology, Third Level Colleges and research organisations.
