IPTV Service goes on trial

Magnet

In partnership with Magnet Networks we have commenced the Student TV trial, that is, the delivery of TV services over the Internet.

It is an IPTV service from Magnet Networks that comes through the college Internet connection from HEAnet, rather than a conventional aerial, satellite dish or cable.

Currently Dublin City University and a number of other colleges are trialling the Student TV service in their campus residences.

The trial runs until September 1st 2009.

For students at participating institutions who want to sign up, simply go to http://www.magnetentertainment.ie/studenttv/ for your login details and to download the Student TV player.

If you are a HEAnet client institution and wish to participate in this trial, please contact iptv@heanet.ie for more information and set-up requirements.
