As part of our Data Storage initiatives for the HE&R community, HEAnet, with working input from our clients, has recently established two Storage Framework agreements which are available for use by all our member institutions.

Call off contracts leveraging the 'Storage Hardware, Software and Provisioning Tools' framework agreement can be used to purchase SAN infrastructure to replace or complement existing storage deployments on campus.

HEAnet is currently running a mini-competition using this framework to procure infrastructure that will host a storage service on behalf of the community.

A dedicated framework agreement for 'Storage Middleware' has also been instantiated.This enables members to procure unified management appliances or gateway solutions to manage and provision local and cloud storage environments.
