HEAnet workshops are available to all HEAnet member clients. Registration is available once workshop dates are confirmed. For more information please contact: workshop@heanet.ie

HEAnet hands-on workshops provide practical experience and have proven very popular with our clients over the years. Run by experienced HEAnet staff who really know our services and are eager to share their knowledge with you, you will be guaranteed to come away with lots of useful information.

This year the schedule is a mix of technical hand-on workshops alongside strategic level workshops showcasing our services.

Africa connects to Europe through GÉANT and UbuntuNet

The first point-to-point research network circuit between Europe and Africa enables astronomers to create a more detailed view of the universe.

Radio astronomers in Africa and across the globe will benefit from faster collaboration through a dedicated, high speed 15,000 km network link between the pan-European GÉANT and African UbuntuNet Alliance education networks announced today.
