SERVICES

HEAnet is committed to delivering, supporting and maintaining the most cost-effective and technically advanced solutions and services for national and international networking to meet the needs of its user community.

All HEAnet Services are provided with high availability and resilience. Our services are hosted on Enterprise Grade Servers, with UPS and redundant Power Supply, Network and Disks to help protect against failure. HEAnet staff have also developed custom server management solutions which enable us to provide high levels of availability and security. We maintain our own HEAnet Debian GNU/Linux distribution and package repository which is now used worldwide. HEAnet staff are also involved with many of the software projects which run the Services we offer, in order to better meet the needs of our clients.

Where possible, all services are provided in IPv6 and IPv4, and as of 2003 all production services are available in IPv6. In cases of high-availability solutions including WebHosting, Anti-Spam, Hot Standby Service and our name-servers, we have redundancy at a host level, distributed throughout our PoPs. This provides geographical resilience for these services available for fail-over.

For a list of all our Services please see our Services Catalogue attached below.
