Description: HEAnet's wireless strategy is part of a service development programme which was discussed with HEAnet clients and has been signed off by the HEAnet Board. It was announced at the HEAnet Conference in November 2007.
As part of this investigation Ward solutions developed firstly a report on possible options for a Wireless Broadband Service for HEAnet clients and finally developed this into the current HEAnet Wireless strategy.

Phase 1 of the HEAnet wireless strategy is proceeding well with the launch of the National Mobile Broadband Service for staff and students with O2 in September 2008.
