Lecturer (Below the Bar) in English

 

Applications are invited for a full-time lectureship in English (below the bar), with a specialism that falls within the period 1500 to the present. The successful candidate will teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, maintain an active research profile and contribute to the strategic development of the discipline. Applicants are invited to demonstrate how they would contribute to the development of at least one of the following four MA programmes: MA in Literature and Publishing, MA in Writing, MA in Culture and Colonialism, MA in Journalism. Applicants should demonstrate an innovative research agenda. Applicants must hold a PhD and have experience in third-level teaching.

Salary:           

€40,256 p.a. to €56,782 p.a.

€36,230 p.a. to €51,104 p.a. (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011)

 

(This appointment will be made on the Lecturer Below the Bar scale in line with current Government pay policy)

 

(For pre 1995 public sector entrants in Ireland, the D class Salary rates will apply)
