| Description: Applications are invited from highly motivated candidates for the fixed-term contract position of Postdoctoral Researcher with Professor Corrado Santocanale, Centre for Chromosome Biology (CCB) and National Centre for Biomedical Engineering Science (NCBES), National University of Ireland, Galway.The position is funded by Science Foundation Ireland (SFI), is available immediately and is tenable for up to three years.
The successful researcher will investigate the molecular mechanisms of cellular responses to stress occurring in S-phase and mitosis. S/He will work towards defining the function of human Cdc7 kinase in these processes and will investigate how Cdc7 cooperates with other protein kinases in promoting accurate duplication and segregation of the chromosomes.
We are looking for an individual with:
Expertise in ubiquitin modification and/or cell stress signaling pathways will be an advantage.

Salary: €38,286 - €41,918 per annum (Public sector pay policy rules in relation to new entrants will apply)
