Windows Media Encoder

To streaming in Windows Media, you need to install Windows Media Encoder and confiture it as follows.

 

  • Cancel the Wizard
  • Select

 

 

 

  • Select your Video device
  • Selection your Audio device

 

 

 

  • Select Pull from encoder
  • Port Number: 8080
  • Our servers will connect to your encoder on this port (Make sure firewall is open)
  • Select Archive to file to record streaming locally. We cannot record it for you.

 

 

 

  • Destination: Windows Media Server
  • Video: Multiple bit rates video (CBR)
  • Audio: Multiple bit rates audio (CBR)
  • Bit Rates: 548k is a good default, consider your audience when picking bit rate. You can choose multiple rates and the end user will get the highest their connect can handle

 

 

 

  • Method: No cropping (crop if your source requires it)
  • Resize: No Resizing (or choose the size of video you would like

 

 

 

  • Video: Deinterlace (very important if source is interlaced, i.e. you will see horizontal lines on picture when there's movement)
  • Now select Apply

 

 

 

  • To being streaming press the button

 

 

To view the stream, you will need a URL which we will provice while setting up your account on the system.
