Edugate – Shibboleth for Librarians

This was the 4th instalment of the LIR workshop on Shibboleth Access. Librarians were introduced to Shibboleth Access and were provided with an overview of the history of Shibboleth Access, an update on the current deployments of Shibboleth Access and a future look at what is likely to happen in this space. Attendees were then introduced to 'Edugate' Ireland's academic federation and provided with details on potentials benefits, current status and implementation options for libraries, as well as a detailed look at how Edugate works.
