A core function of the HR Department is to ensure that management has available to it the necessary expertise, advice and skill sets, supported by HR information systems, to make appropriate and informed decisions on human resources matters and to support managers in the decisions they take in relation to staff
The HR Department ensures that appropriate policies and procedures reflective of best practice are in place to assist and guide managers in the recruitment, deployment, development and management of staff. The HR Department is pivotal in the implementation of good practices free from inherent or potential bias in the context of gender, diversity, equality and inclusion.
Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Business Partner will focus on aligning HR activities with the Blanchardstown campus management by (i) providing a comprehensive, professional and efficient service, offering strategic and operational support, advice and information to the senior
and (ii) working with their management and staff, as well as with other members of the Human Resources Department, in the areas of budgeting for staff costs and other employment-related costs, reporting, resource planning, staff recruitment, analysis and oversight of human resource policies and procedures. The HR Business Partner will support a co-ordinated approach to the development, management, and implementation of HR activities on the TU Dublin Blanchardstown Campus.
This Grade VII role will work with Management and staff to embed TU Dublin HR practices and procedures in the initial and growth stages of TU Dublin and will have the capacity to influence good recruitment practices and support Managers with HR responsibilities.
The post carries a high level of administrative and management responsibility and requires excellent Human Resource competence and knowledge. While maintaining professional standards of quality, consistency and integrity in implementing HR practices, it also offers opportunity to influence strategic change, identify and promote new practices in recruitment and selection appropriate for a high performing Technological University.
The HR Business Partner / Grade VII has a primary responsibility for managing all stages in the administration of the recruitment and selection life cycle and for the onboarding of newly appointed staff and internal promotion of existing staff.
The role acts as an internal consultant, providing advice, information and guidance on a range of resourcing matters to senior managers and colleagues across the Blanchardstown Campus and external applicants and stakeholders.

The Grade VII Salary Scale is: €48,978 - €63,673 (2 x LSI)
