What is Layer 3 VPN?

Layer 3 VPN is a network service that provides scalable, private connections between your primary institution and remote sites with multi-point to multi-point connectivity between them all.

The VPN will cover hundreds of sites and keep VPN traffic separated from all other traffic in the network. In addition, it has the capacity for more sites to be added as required.

Layer 3 VPN is for:

•    Academic/Research institutions with a significant number of remote sites and/or more than one main site.
•    Projects of international scope that require a dedicated and secure infrastructure, or private connectivity to third party suppliers.
