Multi-factor authentication (MFA)

HEAnet extends its Shibboleth IdP (Identity Provider) service to integrate with Azure MFA as part of its Hosted/Managed IdP service.   

When it comes to password management and the associated security risks - the benefits of Single-Sign-On (SSO) are well known. So, when considering MFA, it makes good sense to have a single MFA system that can be used to access multiple services.

Download the eduroam companion app!
 
The eduroam Companion app will find your nearest eduroam wifi hotspot at any of the +12000 locations across Ireland and the rest of the world where eduroam is available.

     
 
This latest version of the companion app has been developed by colleagues at Jisc - the UKs national research and education network organisation.
Shannon is first Irish airport to deploy eduroam

Shannon airport is the first Irish airport to deploy eduroam enabling third level students, researchers and staff to stay campus-connected while on the move.
