Kerrie Power is appointed to the GÉANT Board

We are delighted to announce that our CEO, Kerrie Power has been elected to the Board of Directors of GÉANT: Europe’s leading collaboration on e-infrastructure and services for research and education).

HEAnet Conference 2019 - an overview

350 delegates
8 sponsors and 26 exhibitors and
240 people watched the live stream; 95% based in IRE and 5% in the UK
168 delegates provided feedback after the event

Wednesday 13 - Friday 15 November saw yet another successful HEAnet conference at The Galmont Hotel in Galway. Our largest conferencing to-date, with 350 delegates gathered to network and attend stimulating sessions on topics such as Security, AI, GDPR and many more.

Dates and venue for 2020 will be announced in January 2020. Until then, we would like to thank all those who attended, presented or sponsored the event – without you we couldn’t make this annual event the success that it is.

HEAnet Christmas freeze & NOC support period

We announced our Christmas freeze and office opening hours on 02 Dec to the HEAnet-Faults mailing list. Any updates to this ticket, ID 1666501 will be sent to the same list.

In order to maximise service stability and ensure a trouble-free Christmas/New Year's period for our clients and our NOC:

a change freeze is now in place for all HEAnet services until 09:00 Thu 02 Jan 2020
HEAnet's offices will be closed from 17:30 on Fri 20 Dec 2019 until 09:00 on Thu 02 Jan 2020
24/7 cover will be available, with standard restrictions, until 09:00 on Thu 02 Jan 2020

During this period, no scheduled maintenance will be allowed to occur on HEAnet network, applications or service infrastructure. Corrective actions and emergency maintenance will still be allowed should the need arise.
