Kerrie Power is appointed to the GÉANT Board

We are delighted to announce that our CEO, Kerrie Power has today been elected to the Board of Directors of GÉANT (Europe’s leading collaboration on e-infrastructure and services for research and education).

On hearing the news, Kerrie said: “I am delighted to become a member of the GÉANT Board and I look forward to working with my fellow board members in continuing GÉANTs knowledge-sharing principles, their ‘bigger picture’ and ‘looking over the horizon’ vision, thinking and approach.”

Chair of the GÉANT Board, Christian Grimm of DFN commented on today’s nominations, “I congratulate and warmly welcome the new and re-elected members of the GÉANT Board, and look forward to continued and constructive collaboration over the next years during this exciting period of growth for GÉANT.”

Kerrie Power was appointed Chief Executive of HEAnet in June 2017. Kerrie has over 15 year’s leadership experience and a strong track record in the technology sector. Before joining HEAnet, Kerrie worked in Google in Dublin and New York and also Facebook. More recently, she has headed up technology start-ups in Dublin including Nordeus Games and YouPass Technologies.

Kerrie is a graduate of WIT and holds a Masters in Business Administration from Liverpool University. She recently completed a Diploma in Organisational Change and Transformation with the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, and is now completing one in Strategy and Innovation.
