The HEAnet National Networking Conference 2010 will take place on 10-12 November at the Lyrath Estate Hotel in Kilkenny.

The HEAnet National Networking Conference is an annual event that attracts IT Service Managers, Senior Technical personnel and key academics and researchers from HEAnet's clientele of Universities and other Irish Third Level and Research Institutions.

It is a unique opportunity for you to learn about, present and discuss the latest developments in networking technology and services for the research and education community and their use by the community.

"A Networking Odyssey in the Cloud" will explore the many issues surrounding cloud computing - from security, applications, data storage and services. To this end we have put together a strong line up of speakers including Bruce Schneier, Chief Security Technology Officer of BT who will talk on "Security, Privacy and the Generation Gap."

A number of Hand-on workshops are scheduled in this year’s programme covering topics including: Federation, Security, Cloud Connections, and Fibre Cleaning & Inspection Equipment.

Lightening talks (7 – 10 minutes each) and the popular Birds of a Feather (BoF) sessions are also included in the programme.
