The technicalities of deploying a wireless network are well understood, but installing the necessary equipment on a University campus can pose challenges when dealing with buildings of historical and architectural significance. The University of Limerick recently completed one of the largest and most sophisticated Wi-Fi Network installations in Ireland.

The project involved deploying innovative solutions in iconic structures such as Plassey House (the University’s administration centre), which dates back to 1760 and the award winning Living Bridge (Irelands longest pedestrian bridge), to deliver a world-class WiFi solution throughout the campus.
