The rapid adoption of Smartphones into the personal lives and into the modern business activities of people has allowed for the development of a new wave of criminal activities. This paper reviews the development of Smartphones and explains how the privacy of information on the Smartphone is vulnerable to attack. The paper also looks at the legislation and concludes with speculation of what changes will be needed to secure the privacy of information on Smartphones.
