This talk will focus on the websites and online resources used by traditional secondary school students when researching and considering the college courses they want to apply for. These range from the College website, CAO and Qualifax.ie, through to Facebook and other social media, and can include 'College Rating' sites. One area of interest is understanding how students start their online search, and the importance of peers, parents and guidance counsellors in the selection of online resources used in decision process. This also refers to the most popular and trusted online resources amongst leaving certs. Bob recently completed a Masters thesis on this topic.
