The National Audio Visual Repository (NAVR) is a PRTLI-funded project with a mandate to build a national trusted digital repository for the humanities and social sciences, led by RIA with funded partners NUIM, TCD, NUIG, DIT and NCAD. NAVR will build an e-infrastructure that will enable the federation of the many rich and varied distributed digital archives in Ireland, and offer a central access point to discover, manage and interact with multimedia resources. This interface will allow scholars, students and the wider public to access the cultural heritage of this country on a scale never possible before.
