Alex Stuart

Federation Support Officer, University of Edinburgh

Alex currently works as a Federation Support Officer in the UK Access Management Federation. This federation consists of over 900 members and 1400 entities, and supports the UK's higher and further education communities and, increasingly, the schools sector. The federation helpdesk provides support for software installation and metadata registration as well as troubleshooting and general Shibboleth support.

Alex has a B.Sc. in Astronomy and Astrophysics, and holds a Masters in Mathematics. His previous jobs have included software and web development, system administration, adult numeracy tutoring, and a stint as a development officer for a national charity helpline.
