Description:
Educational use of video on campus has been accelerating across all disciplines in recent years with a shift to online delivery of content. Technology developments have made content generation, distribution and consumption faster and less costly. Key to the video experience is the quality of the media produced and availability of high bandwidth, low latency video streams with appropriate QoS attributes.

Recognising the opportunity for broadcast quality circuits, portability of media resources and lower cost delivery utilising IP networks, AirSpeed Telecom set up an innovative HD streaming service called AirStream. An end-to-end HD transmission service, from people and equipment to bandwidth and presentation, is offered using an all IP solution employing MPEG4 encoding, addressing any CDN and delivering to multiple subscriber devices. QoS is guaranteed.
