Where to next for Edugate?

The Edugate federation started in October 2010, since then it has grown to cover 70 entities and handles approximately 50,000 logins per day to a wide variety of services.

However, further expansion is limited by a number of factors. This presentations outlines these limitations and will ask how these can be overcome, offering solutions for consideration:

1. Absence of some key user attributes
2. Better levels of identity assurance
3. Stronger authentication
4. Account Provisioning
5. Cross institutional groups
6. OpenID, OAuth or Identity system pluralism
